160m Digital QSO Party
The DL-DX RTTY Contest Group would like to invite all licensed radio amateurs to participate in a Top Band (160m) Digital QSO Party. This QSO Party is designed to increase and encourage digital activity on 160m.
Special Awards in 2012:
In 2012 a special price will be awarded to the top 3 scorer of QSO-numbers. Each inter-continental QSO will count as 10 QSO's.
The logs of this 3 participants are needed and will be checked. Additional the log data must be updated every 2 days on the online QSO list at least.
Goal:
Increase digital activity on the 160m band, to make as many contacts as possible and to increase your DXCCs totals on 160m. Every station can work every other station as many times as possible.
Times:
Starting every second Monday in December at 00:00 UTC and continuening two weeks (14 days) until Sunday 23:59 UTC.

Mode/Band:
All digital modes (RTTY, PSK 31, etc.) operation is only allowed in band segements set aside for digital operation on the 160m band.

Normal QSO Info; RST, Name, etc..

Assistance:
It is encouraged to make use of skeds and announce your operation during the QSO Party in the Internet. Announcements on the various DX-Clusters are also encouraged.
During the QSO Party the online chat room on the DRCG Homepage will be open to exchange information before, during, and after the QSO Party. Everyone is welcome to join in.
Results:
Each station can post their final or daily results into a data base on the DRCG Homepage (see left menu) or by using other media including e-mail lists or the RTTY reflector. The report should contain but is not limited to number of QSOs, DXCCs worked, personal QSO highlights, description of the station used, and any other information that may be of use to other operators. No more "official" detailed results will be published.
Remarks:
This is not a "contest" in the normal sense of the word. The goal is to increase digital activity on the 160m Band and to increase DXCC totals on the Top Band.
The DRCG would like to wish all participants good luck and success on the Top Band.
