It was my first DL-DX-RTTY-Contest. Sunday morning I had to replace
my 2nd Radio because the rx was deaf. So sorry that I could not copy all
DX stations before. But anyway running 1180 RTTY QSOs in 24 h was great fun!
See you agn next year in this fine contest. 73 Lothar, DL3TD

Lots of fun, wish the band was in better shape for 100w and a vertical...
See you all next year, it's going to better each year now...

K4GMH
Thank you for putting on the DL-DX RTTY Contest.
Had a lot of fun as the bands were okay and great participation.
Lot of new calls which is especially nice.
Although the bands were okay, that is not good, some
of the signals from fellow contesters were very loud.
ZM2A, on Sunday morning, was as loud as I've heard him on 40 meters.

K4TD
I just got my station operational on RTTY the day before this contest
started.  I made my "first-ever" RTTY contact about 10 hours before
the contest began.  I was still trying to learn how all the software
worked, and I decided to give the station a shakedown using the
contest.  All the hardware worked just fine, but I was still finding
neat "tricks" in the software even after the contest began.  I was
very surprised at how much trouble the software had in extracting
reports from what seemed to be very "copyable" signals.  (NOTE:  I've
been doing CW contests for 30+ years and have gotten quite comfortable
with extracting exchanges from "very weak" signals).  Because of my
learning curve with the software, I am worried about my "error rate"
in this contest, but I decided to submit my log anyway.  Many thanks
to each-and-every one of you I worked for my first RTTY contact with
you.  I hope there will be many more QSOs to come.  73, Rick K4TD

KB1CJ
Awful conditions, but caught New Zealand late at night during a
short opening on 20M.  Also heard NZ briefly early in the morning
 local time.

KB8LFA
This was my first RTTY contest. I've only made ~ 30 RTTY QSOs
ever. I had a lot of fun, not top scorer (obviously) but had a
 blast, thanks everyone!

Very nice contest to check out my FSK RTTY setup. The Icom
IC-756ProIII is definitely a great RTTY contesting rig. A combination
of the Twin Peak Filter and RF control makes for a very quiet band
that lets the signals just "pop" out. Used N1MM logger with the MMTTY
interface. You can't beat great performance at that price (free). 73

The first 12 hours produced only 80 contacts all
bands were closed form ZL. My first sunrise 40m
opening to EU was blocked by the OTHR from China.
The Radar was still there for the late evening 40m
opening to NA but I was able to work a good
numer of stations through the interference. I enjoyed
the contest - thanks to the DRCG and those I worked.
